Mentoring

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this training program, participants will be able to:

ˇ explain the roles and responsibilities within the mentoring relationship,
ˇ define the key ingredients to being a successful mentor,
ˇ use various coaching skills used in mentoring,
ˇ develop a plan of action for building the relationship that includes
ˇ mentoring role, protégé role
ˇ goals
ˇ responsibilities
ˇ types of developmental activities

LENGTH: 2 days

AUDIENCE: Preferably intact teams of mentor/mentee

*This program can be done first for mentors, then mentees, followed by a joint session (mentor/mentee) that includes introductions, first discussions and action planning.
