INTRODUCTION:

Planning for retirement is one of the more important series of life decisions you will face, akin to making other major career, family, or lifestyle decisions.  With the increase in Americans’ life expectancies, the post-government employment stage of your life may well equal or exceed the years spent in federal and/or military service.  This course helps you prepare for making educated decisions to transition successfully to this new life stage.

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this seminar, participants will have gained an understanding of  the:

·         Steps you can take to enhance your financial comfort,

·         Retirement types and eligibility for your retirement system,

·         How to estimate your retirement annuity

·         Decisions that need to be made at retirement,

·         The benefits (FEHB, Dental and vision Insurance, FEGLI, TSP, LTC, etc), and

·         Other lifestyle, transition, and financial planning considerations.
